Cheryl undertook her classical training at Scullys Borovansky, jazz training with Ronnie Arnold and tap with the legendary Edna Storey.
After a very successful career in Sydney, performing in musicals and on Channels 7, 2 and 10 on their variety and pop shows for several years, Cheryl went on to work in London, performing with the Black and White Minstrel Show, both on the West End and in the BBC Television series for eight years. Cheryl also appeared on many TV specials in London (Frankie Howard Show, The Young Generation, The Two Ronnies.)
McCarthy Studios is a well established Performing Arts School on the Upper North Shore of Sydney and many students have performed in professional productions, including Shout, Hair, What The World Needs Now, Bye Bye Birdie, South Pacific, Annie (lead role), Jane Banks in Mary Poppins National Tour, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Belvoir Theatre and our latest star is appearing as Hortense in Matilda.
