Joanne Grace -Morgan
In addition to running my own dance school, Joanne Grace School of Dance, in the Illawarra region I have also taught at Newtown High School of The Performing Arts and Wollongong High School of The Performing Arts and during my time with these schools I choreographed items for state and regional dance festivals, rock eisteddfods and southern stars as well as involvement with school spectacular and numerous productions.
I was a lecturer at University of New South Wales for 12 years in both the Faculty of Education and Faculty Of Arts and resigned in 2014 to deliver full time day classes at the studio with students heading into professional level training after completing certificate IV Dance or pre-professional training.
I have been fortunate enough to have my students dance with and move into professional companies around the world as well as dance on cruise liners and theatre shows across the globe. I have a passion for all styles of dance and training that supports this.
Being part of the Australian Adjudicators Association has enabled me to move into judging which I have thoroughly enjoyed and now have many years of experience in this field also.
My qualifications include:
Bachelor Applied Arts Dance / Drama : Bachelor Education from UNSW
Masters of Dance Teaching from QUT
R.A.D Teachers Certificate with Distinction
R.A.D Teachers Diploma
A.R.A.D after passing Advanced 2 level of training
