Karen Crump - Australian Dance Adjudicator


Karen Crump is a semi-retired internationally experienced professional dancer, teacher and examiner, with over 30 years of dance experience.

Karen trained with Mrs. Karen Barter, RAD Scholars teacher and at the Royal Academy of Dance, London, before continuing her studies at the Northern Ballet School and commencing her career with NBS Education Dept. She toured with Scott and Michael Peters Productions throughout Europe, Middle East and Asia. She continued her studies at the Laban Centre, London and postgraduate studies at Brighton University, England before immigrating to Australia in 1995.

Karen has a BA (Hons) in Dance Theatre from London University (Laban).

PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Secondary Education) from Brighton University,

Her teaching career includes the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School, Deakin University School of Language, Cultural & Arts Education, The National Theatre Ballet School, and VCE Dance within the education system and as a private provider. She is also a registered teacher of RAD and Cecchetti Ballet Syllabi.

Karen is a VCE & VET Dance and studio teacher, her wealth of knowledge and commitment to dance education gives students first class access to current industry specifications.
