Nirvana James completed a double degree at the University of NSW; Bachelor of Arts (Dance) and Bachelor of Education (Dance, Theatre and Performance Studies). During her time at University she received training from many of Australia’s most sought after and well respected teachers and choreographers. However, in her 3rd year of University the desire to perform beckoned and she deferred her studies to take up a contract dancing professionally overseas. Nirvana returned to Australia to complete 4th year of studies and to graduate with her University Degree in 2007.
Nirvana holds her ‘Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies’ with ‘The Royal Academy of Dance (London)’, enabling her to enter students for their RAD Classical Ballet Examinations. She is also a member of ‘Australian Dance Adjudicators’.
Nirvana owns a Performing Arts School on the NSW South Coast and is also Secondary School Dance and Drama teacher, she has an outstanding student achievement record. She has choreographed award winning items at Regional, State and National level Competitions, Eisteddfods, Spectaculars and Festivals.
Imparting the knowledge, experiences and joy of Dance is Nirvana’s passion. She lives and breathes Dance and enjoys helping students achieve their best.
