Joanne Grace-Morgan is the director and owner of Joanne Grace School Of Dance and has built a career dedicated to mentoring and inspiring the dancers of the Illawarra for over 25 years.  Still actively teaching, she is aware of the changing trends in dance and has current industry knowledge.


HER QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:


–  Bachelor Applied Arts / Dance :  Bachelor of Education–  Masters of Dance Teaching–  A.R.A.D Status–  Cert 4 in Assessment and Training–  Current First Aid–  Diploma Of Teaching Royal Academy Of Dance–  Qualified Teacher in Classical Ballet (Royal Academy Of Dance, Australian Conservatoire of Ballet (Vaganova) and Classical Dance Australia)


ADJUDICATING EXPERIENCE:


Proficient in all styles and able to conduct classical masterclasses for scholarships.

Gold Coast Eisteddfod, Extreme Dance Eisteddfod, Northern Beaches Eisteddfod, Wellington Eisteddfod (Dubbo)and many more……

Joanne balances her critiques with positive feedback but also constructive ways to help improve and develop the performance.  Her experience has led her to be an efficient adjudicator with appointments being well received by both dancers and committee members.  Her love of dance and willingness to support and nurture is evident.


CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:


Many of her students have gone on to dance with companies around the world and gain acceptance into pre-professional training institutions.  Some of which include  :–  Australian Ballet School and Company–  New Zealand School Of Dance (Classical and contemporary streams)–  Cruise Ship  (Disney, Norwegian, Royal Carribean)–  Stephanie Lake Contemporary Company–  Queensland Ballet School–  Sydney Dance Companyand many European Placements

Newtown High School Of The Performing Arts–  Wollongong High School Of The Performing Arts–  Wollongong University–  University Of New South Wales (Lecturer in Dance (Classical ballet and Contemporary Dance) and Dance Pedagogy–  Joanne Grace School Of Dance

Joanne hopes that the performers learn that results are secondary to the experience gained from performing and encourages each child to reflect on the performances given as a means of achieving their own personal best!
