Raised on the Sunshine Coast, my dance journey commenced early, sparking a lifelong passion. With 15 years of teaching experience across various Queensland studios, I currently teach on the Sunshine Coast. I’m a dedicated dance educator with years of experience fostering growth and creativity.  Through teaching, I’ve discovered the power of tailored feedback to inspire and progress confidence within a dancer.

I am a RAD ballet registered Teacher and hold diplomas in tap, jazz and theatrical with Comdance (formerly CSTD), shaping my expertise across diverse dance genres. These qualifications fuel my dedication to imparting a comprehensive dance education, blending technical excellence with artistic expression. With a foundation built on these credentials, I strive to instil a well-rounded appreciation for dance, fostering a dynamic and enriching learning experience.

My journey is marked by a deep love for dance and a commitment to provide supportive yet constructive learning environment. I aim to elevate dancers, ensuring they radiate brilliance and deliver their best on stage.

Lisa trained in various styles under the direction of Sandra Breen OAM of Southern Academy of Dance. Lisa started her performance career at Dreamworld, she moved on to Cheerleading for the Brisbane Bullets and Broncos then heading to Japan for 2 years. She ended up in Sydney with Grayboy the Agency.

Lisa’s stage and performance credits include Valentino, Sydney Showboat, Theatre International India, the Russian Coachman Club, Cheeky Entertainment, P&O and Princess Cruises. Lisa has worked with choreographers such as William Forsythe, Kelley Abbey, Keith Hawley, Juliette Verne, Nathan Wright to name a few. She has modelled for Lorna Jane, Sunseeker, Bras & Things and Lend Lease. Her film and TVC credits include clients such as Pepsi, Netflix, Coke, Superman and Stupid, Stupid Man.

Lisa has taught extensively and has been involved with many workshops throughout Australia, London, Japan and India. Lisa holds her TAE40116 Certificate IV Training & Assessment – and facilitates and mentors a Diploma of Elite Professional Dance. She is a qualified Yoga and Barre instructor.

Emma Hawthorne is a professional performer and teacher of 20 years. Emma originally trained through the ATOD syllabus in classical ballet, jazz, tap, and contemporary. Through her training at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2004, Emma became a triple threat and toured with Musicals including 9 to 5 (GFO), Wicked (GFO), Mamma Mia (Louise Withers), West Side Story (Opera Australia), Hair (Peace Productions), Dusty (The Production Company), Annie (GFO), Dr Zhivago (GFO), West Side Story (West Side Story Australasia), Fiddler on the Roof (TML Productions), Debbie Does Dallas: The Musical (Three Amigos Productions), Kiss Me Kate (The Production Company), and Godspell: Prepare Ye (Hayden Tee). Emma is also a professional yoga instructor, dance teacher, singing teacher, and choreographer. For the past 12 years, Emma has been a regular teacher at Sydney Dance Company Studios and NIDA. Emma also holds an AMus Certificate in Classical Voice and a Certificate IV in Yoga Teacher Training.

Sarah Hall has been involved in dance and dance teaching for nearly 20 years.

She grew up in a small country town in Southwest Victoria, which is where her dance career began. She was taught in the styles of hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, neo-classical, lyrical, broadway, commercial and musical theatre. She completed every style of her examinations through B.A.L (Ballet Australasia Limited) then moved to Melbourne for a short time to pursue a full-time dance career at Patrick Studios Australia before moving to the Queensland College of Dance.

After completing her Diploma in Dance, Sarah wanted to pursue a pathway of teaching and adjudicating which led her to study and complete her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management through B.A.L and a diploma in primary education at the University of the Sunshine Coast. As a member of Ballet Australasia Limited and Australian Dance Adjudicators, Sarah continues to develop her skills and knowledge for both herself and the dance community.

As a free-lance teacher, Sarah has taught dance at schools around the country and continues to create a fun, friendly and knowledgeable environment everywhere she goes.

Her determination, education, knowledge, and love for dance has brought much success and great results in both herself and her students’ competitions, exams and choreographic pieces. She wishes to bring her experience and knowledge of a wide range of dance genres into her adjudicating career through honest, helpful and constructive feedback in a friendly and encouraging manner.
