Casey-Rae is a dynamic dance educator who works across a range of industries in the sector. She holds a Diploma in Dance Teaching and Management and a Master of Teaching (Secondary), and is the State Moderator of all Senior Dance courses in Tasmania.
Casey has been working as a teacher at the House of Dance for over 15 years, and has been recognised as Outstanding Coach for students 2-4 years and 5-12 years for her work in studio dance. Her works have been awarded many accolades including, “Most Entertaining Item” and “Most Outstanding Group” at the Southern Tasmanian Dance Eisteddfods, and she has trained many dancers who have won national titles and Championships across the country.
Casey-Rae’s choreography has been sought by production companies for both commercial and amateur theatre events, including The Sound of Music (Exitleft Productions) and Carols by the Bay (Hobart City Council). Casey identifies her point of difference in the dance industry is having a diverse understanding and appreciation of dance, and as someone who is still heavily immersed in the industry she has a contemporary understanding of a range of genres and styles emerging across the country.
