Dance Adjudicator

Alice was born in the seaside town of Bournemouth in the UK and has been dancing since the age of 3. She studied dance at the local school alongside being a Junior and Mid Associate at the Royal Ballet School in London. She also competed in competitions nationwide, including the All England Finals and performed in such events as the 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony.
She then went on to receive her Bachelors degree in Ballet Education from the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), as well as the Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Dance (LRAD), Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD) and Registered Teacher’s Status. After teaching in numerous schools in the London area, she set out to travel the world, which has seen her settle in Australia to pursue her career as a dance teacher.
Now based in Newcastle NSW, Alice continues to teach her passion for dance with a focus on the adult community, and also assesses trainee teachers for the RAD CBTS courses. Wishing to develop herself, adjudicating gives the opportunity to grow as a teacher and assessor, and to further gain knowledge across the industry.
Having greatly loved the opportunity to join the eisteddfod environment over the past 6 years, Alice enjoys sharing her passion and exploring the talent across Australia. Eager to travel, explore new places and experience dance in different areas, she believes herself to be a fresh new face providing a new perspective and take on dance.

Career Highlights
· Opening an adult-only dance studio, allowing adults to participate in recreational classes in a safe and welcoming environment, as well as enter RAD examinations, perform and compete in eisteddfods and get their pointe shoes.
· Being nominated for the Hunter Small Business Awards in our first year of operation
· Having the opportunity to travel around rural NSW and interstate adjudicating eisteddfods, and meeting other link-minded and dedicated people in the performing arts industry
· Being recognised by the RAD on their social media and graduate news, as well as being a RAD Practical Teaching Supervisor and Panel Member
